How else do you explain an absolutely pointless book like Crux? If Waid and Epting were on a half-hour car trip to a comic convention, they could've come up with a superior book by themselves
Irgendwo hat er ja Recht, aber das Ende von CG war ja auch nicht so geplant...t's gratifying to see stories of people who got pulled back into comics because of CrossGen. It just makes me ... disillusioned, I guess ... that the promise was never paid off. I'm saddened that readers who put their time and effort into various titles have been disappointed by the awkward, premature ends to many of the titles.
DA hat er leider Recht. Here's a sad truth: the vast majority of American don't (and won't) read comics. And the vast majority of the audience that does read comics only wants its Marvel and DC heroes.
But, if some ex-CG employees want to voice their displeasure, that's their right. If Andrea feels less than charitable toward CG, especially when he and his fiancee are still owed thousands of dollars, that's his right.
WOW! Diese Auflagenhöhe hatten bei uns mal limitierte Variantcover (naja, die Hälfte davon).a hardcore readership of 10,000 or so.
The 'accepting all Crossgen employees with open arms' statement is too simplistic. The process was considerably more time-consuming and demanding than you know. I appreciate your flattering us by your faith in our abilities, but bear in mind, there was a lot of sorting out of the massive influx of creative people. Matt Smith isn't the only one who's faced a questionable future in comics, but I won't embarrass them by naming them. There was a lot of FLA networking "whose hiring?" "This guy won't return my phone calls", etc.
I had a two-month period over Christmas after my Batgirl fill-in where I had no work and a mortgage. DC had already locked down their creative plans for the next six months. Needless to say, my wife and I did the holidays on the cheap because I wasn't starting Thor until #75, (new story arc) in the new year. We made it through because we don't spend beyond our means, but there was some sweating going on.
